Screen Replacement Warranty

Lifetime warranty on the screen. Physical damage is not covered.

What Is Covered

  • Display faults
  • Touch failure not caused by impact
  • Manufacturing defects
  • Screen malfunction under normal use

What Is Not Covered

  • Cracked or shattered glass
  • Impact or pressure damage
  • Liquid damage
  • Frame bending or structural damage
  • Tampering or third party repairs

Battery Replacement Warranty

2 year warranty or 500 charge cycles, whichever comes first.

What Is Covered

  • Premature battery failure
  • Battery not holding charge under normal use
  • Faulty battery performance due to a part defect

What Is Not Covered

  • Battery inflation or swelling
  • Physical damage
  • Liquid damage
  • Power surge damage
  • Third party repairs

Motherboard Repair

12 month warranty for the original fault only.

What Is Covered

  • The exact same issue returning after repair

What Is Not Covered

  • New or unrelated faults
  • Liquid damage after repair
  • Physical damage
  • Power surge damage
  • Tampering or third party repairs

Note: Board level repair carries inherent risk due to complexity. Warranty applies only to the original issue diagnosed and repaired.

Other Hardware Components

12 month warranty on replaced hardware components. Physical damage is not covered.

  • Buttons and flex cables

What Is Not Covered

  • Physical damage
  • Liquid damage

  • Third party repairs

Laptop Hinge Repair

Structural repair. Reinforced properly.

Once a hinge has failed, the device cannot be restored to original factory structural condition. Hidden damage can worsen during repair due to prior stress or impact. This is not considered a repair fault and is not covered under warranty.

What Is Covered

  • Repair or replacement of damaged hinges
  • Reinforcement of hinge mounting points where possible
  • Workmanship of the hinge repair
  • Functional testing of screen movement

What Is Not Covered

  • Pre existing internal structural damage
  • Cracked chassis or weakened plastics
  • Display damage caused by prior hinge stress
  • Cosmetic damage
  • Future structural failure due to previous impact

Screen Cracking From Hinge Stress

Not covered when hinge pressure causes screen damage.

If a screen cracks due to stress from damaged hinges, this is considered consequential damage from structural failure and is not covered under warranty.

  • Screen cracking caused by hinge pressure
  • LCD fractures from prior structural stress
  • Internal display damage linked to pre existing hinge failure

Refurbished Devices and Accessories

12 month warranty. Wear and tear or physical damage is not covered.

  • Hardware faults under normal use
  • Manufacturer defects
  • Functional issues not caused by damage

What Is Not Covered

  • Wear and tear
  • Cosmetic damage
  • Scratches, dents, or marks
  • Liquid damage
  • Physical damage after purchase

Exchange and Refund Policy

Please choose our products carefully.

We do not offer refunds or exchanges for change of mind.

If a product is faulty, we will assess it in line with Australian Consumer Law.

Important Conditions

These conditions apply to all repairs and warranty claims.

General Conditions

  • All warranty claims require technician inspection before approval
  • We are not responsible for data loss during repair
  • Remove Apple ID, Google accounts, and passcodes before repair
  • Water resistance cannot be guaranteed after any repair
  • Diagnostic fees are non refundable, even if repair is declined
  • Damage caused by third party accessories or chargers is not covered
  • Customer supplied parts are not covered (workmanship only, if accepted)
  • Minor cosmetic marks may occur during disassembly
  • By proceeding, the customer authorises TL iRepair to perform the agreed service

Uncollected Devices and Disposal

Devices not collected within 60 days of Booking may be treated as abandoned.

TL iRepair reserves the right to dispose of, recycle, or resell uncollected devices in accordance with relevant Victorian abandoned goods legislation.

Reasonable attempts will be made to contact the customer using the details provided at the time of booking.

TL iRepair is not responsible for loss once a device has been deemed abandoned under applicable law.

Deposits and Repair Fees

A 50% deposit is required before the commencement of any repair.

Repairs will not begin until the deposit has been received and confirmed.

All repairs are subject to a minimum $30 parts and labour charge. This charge is non refundable and covers technician time, handling, and assessment of the device.

If a repair is declined after commencement, the deposit may be applied toward labour and parts already used.

Deposits are non refundable once parts have been ordered or repair work has begun.

Australian Consumer Law

TL iRepair conducts all repairs and services in accordance with Australian Consumer Law.

Our goods and services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the law. These guarantees apply where required and are assessed in line with the standards set under Australian Consumer Law.

All warranty claims are reviewed carefully and professionally. If a product or repair is found to have a major failure under Australian Consumer Law, customers may be entitled to a repair, replacement, or refund as determined by the nature of the failure.

If a failure does not meet the threshold of a major failure, TL iRepair reserves the right to repair or replace the goods within a reasonable timeframe, as permitted under Australian Consumer Law.

Nothing in this warranty policy limits, excludes, or replaces your statutory rights under Australian Consumer Law.

Warranty Claims

To make a warranty claim:

  • Return the device to the original TL iRepair location
  • Bring your invoice as proof of purchase
  • Allow our technician to inspect and assess the device

Warranty claims are not processed on the spot. All devices must undergo inspection and testing before approval.

Assessment time may vary depending on the issue and workload. We will contact you once the evaluation is complete.

Repairs or replacements will only proceed once the claim has been reviewed and approved.
